Our Story
Founded by tour guide Ishai Levin, Fig Trips is a boutique travel company based in Tel Aviv that specializes in providing travelers with personalized, authentic, once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences to Israel. With over a decade of guiding experience, Ishai founded Fig Trips with the goal of welcoming travelers to his home country in the most authentic and meaningful way possible. Since our founding, we have cultivated relationships with communities all over the country to allow our travelers to experience the multifaceted country that we love, not as visitors, but as our guests. With hospitality at our core, our mission is to change perspectives and form meaningful relationships through travel.
Our Guides
As a company founded by a seasoned tour guide, we understand that an exceptional guide can make or break a trip. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our tour leaders are the best of the best, as well as the best fit for each and every group. We only work with experienced licensed guides who are experts in their field. In addition, we personally match each and every guide to the group, taking into account shared interests and personalities, ensuring that your guide will be someone you learn from and have fun with.

Ishai Levin
Ishai is a five-star rated, government certified tour guide with experience in historical heritage tours, hiking excursions, geopolitical tours, and specialty private tours for individuals and families, religious groups, universities, and diplomats. A history buff and army veteran, Ishai holds a degree in Israeli History from the University of Haifa and his expertise includes geology, geopolitics, and ancient and modern history. Ishai strives to provide his travelers with the most authentic and comfortable experience possible--constantly seeking out surprises and hidden gems to delight our travelers.
Ishai is an avid hiker and outdoorsman, having taught nature survival classes to students and adults. He has also completed the Israel National Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail, walking from Mexico to Canada.

Julia Sharoff
Julia is an Olah Chadesha, having made Aliyah from Denver, Colorado in 2017. Prior to starting Fig Trips, Julia worked in finance until deciding to pursue her passion for travel full-time. Julia strongly believes that travel can be a life-altering experience and is devoted to providing travelers with the best experience humanly possible--approaching each trip with the same amount of personalized care and dedication as she would for her family and friends.
Julia holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a Master's Degree in Marketing Communications from Clark University.
